Omaha Siding Installation & Replacement

New siding transforms your home’s curb appeal, lowers your energy bills, and protects everything underneath from Nebraska’s weather extremes. We install fiber cement, vinyl, and engineered wood with the same care we give every roof we touch.

What We Install

Siding That Looks Right and Lasts

Your siding is the largest visible surface on your home — it dictates curb appeal more than any other exterior element. It’s also your home’s primary defense against rain, snow, ice, and the temperature swings that define Nebraska weather. The right siding handles all of that for 30+ years; the wrong material warps, cracks, or fades within five.

We install three main siding categories: fiber cement (James Hardie, LP SmartSide) for durability and a wood-grain look without the maintenance; vinyl for cost-effective performance with a wide range of colors and styles; and engineered wood for the warmth of real wood at a fraction of the upkeep. We’ll walk you through what works best for your home, your timeline, and your budget — no pressure to upgrade beyond what makes sense.

Every install includes house wrap, proper flashing around windows and doors, and trim that matches your home’s style. We don’t cut corners on the underlying weatherization — that’s what separates siding that lasts from siding that fails.

Why Replace

Signs Your Siding Needs Attention

Old or damaged siding doesn’t just look bad — it lets water and air into the layers underneath, leading to mold, rot, and big jumps on the energy bill. Watch for these signs.

Cracking or Warping

Once siding cracks, water gets in. Warped panels indicate either failed material or moisture damage underneath.

Faded or Chalky Surface

UV damage breaks down the surface coating. If wiping the siding leaves chalk on your hand, the material is past its prime.

Rising Energy Bills

Failing siding lets conditioned air leak out and outside air in — your HVAC works harder for the same comfort.

Visible Rot or Mildew

Soft spots, discoloration, or fungal growth indicate moisture has gotten behind the panels and is damaging the structure.

Frequent Repainting

If you’re painting your siding more than every 5–7 years, the material is failing and replacement may cost less long-term.

Damage After a Storm

Hail and wind crack siding panels. Even a few damaged panels can let water in — and most insurance policies cover storm-related siding damage.

Common Questions

Siding Questions

Don’t see your question? Call us at (402) 979-6870 — we’re happy to talk it through. No pressure, no upselling.

What siding material works best in Nebraska?
Fiber cement (like James Hardie or LP SmartSide) handles Nebraska’s freeze-thaw cycles, hail, and humidity better than almost anything else — it doesn’t warp, doesn’t feed mold, and holds paint for 15+ years. Vinyl is a great budget choice with modern thickness and color options. Both perform well; the right pick depends on your home and goals.
How long does a siding install take?
Most full siding projects on a typical Omaha home take 5–10 working days, weather permitting. Partial repairs or single-elevation work can often be done in 1–2 days.
Will new siding actually lower my energy bills?
If your old siding is failing or your home lacks proper insulation behind it, yes — sometimes significantly. New siding paired with insulated underlayment seals air leaks and reduces thermal bridging. Savings vary by home, but most owners notice a difference in the first heating or cooling season.
Can you replace just one side of my house?
Yes. Partial replacement is common after storm damage or to replace specific failing sections. Color match isn’t always perfect on older siding due to fading, but we’ll discuss options before starting.
Do you paint the siding, or does it come pre-finished?
Most modern fiber cement and vinyl siding comes factory-finished — no painting needed for 15–30 years depending on the product. If you want a custom color outside the manufacturer’s palette, we can paint after install.
What’s the difference between James Hardie and LP SmartSide?
Both are top-tier engineered siding. James Hardie is fiber cement (cement, sand, and cellulose); LP SmartSide is engineered wood (treated wood strands and resins). Hardie is heavier, more impact-resistant, and fully non-combustible. LP is lighter, faster to install, and offers a deeper wood grain look. Both carry strong warranties.
Do you handle insurance claims for hail-damaged siding?
Yes. We document damage thoroughly, meet with your insurance adjuster on-site, and coordinate the repair scope after your claim is approved — same process we follow for storm-damaged roofs.
Will new siding affect my HOA or neighborhood approval?
Possibly. Some HOAs require pre-approval for siding color or material changes. We’ll let you know what documentation you may need; we’ve worked with most major Omaha-area HOAs before.
